Mandy Mandelstein

Co-Founder/Creative Director
Mandy Mandelstein is a filmmaker, artist, and creative technologist who’s love of technology, fascination of science, and experimental tendencies drive her to explore the ways that new technologies can change how we tell stories.

Most recently she founded luxloop, a creative technology studio and consultancy, exploring how new technology can pull content stories off the screen and into the world around us. She’s also working on developing a short film that explores the relationship between content and the viewers spatial relationship to the screen. When she can, she loves traveling the world, and broadening her knowledge of the human experience.

She was awarded a Chris Columbus Production grant in 2011 for her thesis project at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for her piece Anima which explored the use of projections in set and story design. Her directorial music video work has been written up by SPIN, MTV, Stereogum, and Filter Magazine. She’s also worked in production on many commercials for clients such as MTV, Apple, Verizon, and Burberry, as well as on independent films, including Deep Powder (TFF 2013), Teenage (TFF 2013), Manglehorn (Venice, SXSW).
