Katherine Louise Boehm
New Media Artist, Interaction/Experience Designer, Musician, Improvisor, Creative Technologist
Greater New York City Area
My work is rooted in philosophy and play with a niche in sound and invisible interaction. As a new media artist, designer, improviser and musician, I aim to stimulate thought and reframe elements of our present to better understand our relationship with each other, with the world and with our future both near and far. In form I have combined my background in graphic design, film and performance with nonlinear/linear narrative experiences created through sound, VR, AR, and interactive installations. As a current MFA Design and Technology candidate at Parsons School of Design, I recently showcased my project Panopticon (interactive binaural sound installation) in the StudentPoster section of IRCAM Pompidou’s 2015 Conference.
