My art is about celebrating the human connection through the use of biomorphic abstraction. On a biological level we are all the same; all that is living we are part of and every organic structure mimics another. We are echoes of the past regenerating and ever evolving.
Kate is an digital artist working in Connecticut and New York area. She first started working with microscopy imagery during graduate school at Yale while studying as an abstract painter. She describes first seeing images of cells as like looking at a world made of jewels. Her work in abstraction has been described as poetic narration where the story is left open to many possibilities allowing each viewer a unique account.
My images both describe and celebrate the intrinsically aesthetic structure of the natural world and the ever-present duality in all things. I invite the viewer to see and feel the world both within us and around us, experiencing the macro vs microelements common to all.
